QuranStream TV (app.quranstream.tv) is a Quran recitation player
for Android phones, tablets and TV devices. This policy explains what the app
does and does not do with your information.
The app collects no personal data. It has no accounts, no login, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us, because there is no server of ours for it to be sent to.
None. We do not collect, store, transmit or share any personal or sensitive user data. Specifically, the app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, files, device identifiers, or usage analytics.
The app saves a small amount of information locally so it can remember your preferences between sessions. This stays on your device, is not readable by us, and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Chosen interface language | So the app opens in the language you last used. |
| Reciter, surah and translation choices | So your last selection is remembered. |
| Backgrounds and designs you create or import | So your customised display is still there next time. |
The Quran text, word timings and translations are bundled inside the app and are read offline. The app makes one kind of outbound connection:
| Destination | Purpose | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
download.quranicaudio.com |
Streaming the recitation audio you selected. | A standard web request for the audio file. No account, identifier or personal information is attached. |
That host is operated by Quran.com, not by us. Like any web server, it may record technical request information such as IP address in its own logs. We have no access to those logs. Their policy applies to that request: quran.com/privacy.
The app requests a single Android permission, INTERNET, used only
to stream recitation audio as described above. It requests no access to your
camera, microphone, contacts, location, storage or phone state.
The app is suitable for all ages. It collects no data from anyone, including children, and contains no advertising, no in-app purchases and no social features.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on request. To remove everything the app has stored on your device, uninstall it, or clear its data from Android Settings › Apps › QuranStream TV › Storage.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published at this address with an updated date above.
